Snow Camp!

After Christmas we headed off to camp with our church teens.  What an awesome three days!  We braved the cold and the activities to try to make an impact on these young lives.  There was one particular young man, Anthony, we had been praying for to get saved.  He had just started coming to our church and up to that point had never heard the gospel.  This is sadly becoming the case for more and more teens in our country.  Anthony was a foster child with a very rough background but praise the Lord, he received Christ as his personal Savior on the very last night of camp.  Since that time he has changed drastically and faithfully attends our church.  He’s been a great encouragement to us.  Please continue to pray for him as he still has many obstacles to overcome.

On Decemer 27th we were in Fredonia, New York with Pastor Burke and Victory Baptist Church for Sunday School.  The children had been taking a special offering for us for seven weeks prior to this date and presented us with this gift. Though our time was short we enjoyed being with these young ones.  It’s exciting to think of what they will some day do for for the Lord if they follow Him.

The Sunday after we got back from our honeymoon Elizabeth joined my church. It was exciting for both of us! Again we received a great blessing. It’s the first time Elizabeth will not be a member of her father’s church. Speaking of Pastor Troyer, we help in Grace Baptist’s Master Club program on Wednesday nights when we are in the area. The last time that we were with them I was able to lead a ten year old boy, Jerald, to the Lord. Please pray for him and another young man by the name of Austin. I was able to witness to him but he was not yet ready to receive Christ as his Saviour.

An Unexpected Blessing

Elizabeth and I had been married a grand total of eight days…We enjoyed our honeymoon immensely and started to look forward to beginning our lives together back home.  The Sunday before we returned we attended  Bible Baptist Church in Niagara Falls, Canada with Pastor Kiper.  We planned to go incognito, unnanounced, and just enjoy the services.  However, we had barely been in the church five minutes when Pastor Kiper recognized me and asked if I would present the work that night.  It was completely unexpected but what a blessing!  So, after only being married eight days Elizabeth and I had our first meeting together as husband and wife.
