After being home from our Philippine survey trip for almost a month, we were finally able to report to our sending church.  It was great to see our church family!  Elizabeth and I gave our testimony about the journey overseas and the many experiences we shared.   I was also able to show our updated presentation to our people.  It’s wonderful to have such support from our church. We don’t take this for granted and praise the Lord for our extended family.  Thank you!

For this meeting we traveled seven hours to be with our friends in West Chester, Pennsylvania.  Pastor Michael Keenan is also on the board of directors for Word for the World, our clearing house.  The Lord again blessed us with a wonderful meeting and great fellowship.  I was given the opportunity to preach in Sunday School and present the work during the conference.  We met another missionary, Brother Tom Keller, who is going to Mongolia. The Lord really blessed our time together.  We took a day and traveled to Philadelphia since it was just an hour away and Brother Keller and I had never been there before.   It was amazing to see the beginnings of our great nation.  Only our God could have given our founding fathers the wisdom to accomplish all they did. Unfortunately, our country has left their first love and forgotten their heritage.  We need our churches here to labor on and bring America back to Christ one soul at a time.

We were invited to join Pastor George Alquist and Grace of Calvary Baptist church for their annual missions conference in Erie, Pennsylvania.  This was a special meeting to us as this was the church where we were married. The people were very gracious and continually provided for our needs.  They had a special time on Saturday morning when the church folks could fellowship with the missionaries and learn more about our families.  Each missionary couple was also provided time to give their testimony and answer questions about their respective fields.  It was a wonderful day of fellowship that also gave the missionaries an opportunity to get to know the church. This special time would be a benefit to many churches.  It enables both the church and the missionary to know how to pray for each other and the people really get to know their missionaries.

We thank Evangelical Baptist Church for allowing us to be a part of their meeting.  Pastor Jim Donath had us share our burden with the church and Elizabeth and I both gave our testimonies.  We even sang, our first time to do so on the road. We are enjoying serving Him together.  We have met a lot of sweet  and godly people in our travels.  That is always a big encouragement to us.
