A Searching Soul

I’m so thankful for a God who provides. He provided for the Ethiopian Eunuch who was lost but searching, He provided for Cornelius who wanted to know the true God, and God still provides for the searching soul today. A young man came to our teen activity and heard the Gospel for the first time. His response was amazing. He said, “My family is Catholic but I had a lot of questions so I started reading the Bible on my own. I wanted to know the truth about life and religion. I just did not understand what I was reading. Now, I understand!” It’s not every day that you find someone hungry for the truth! We’re so thankful for this boy and for God’s provision!

Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof…” Ecclesiasters 7:8

It is a blessing to see students successfully complete their time at Bible School! Bible School is not easy. It’s designed to challenge your character as well as your knowledge. For sure, there were times when Charlie didn’t think he could finish but by God’s grace, he made it and graduated with his four-year degree! Life itself is not easy but our Lord is there to help us each step of the way. Now, as Charlie looks to the future, his desire is to teach children about Christ. We are so excited to watch as Charlie serves in this needed ministry!

We had another great Vacation Bible School this year!  Our church building is small so we go to the kids and teach them in their towns. One benefit of bringing class to the kids is that many parents listen in too! We taught over 3,000 children this year and a number of parents came to church for the first time on Graduation Sunday. Never underestimate the power of witnessing and planting seeds of the Gospel. Please keep us in prayer as we continue to witness to these children and their families!

Press Forward!

Another year of camp is in the books!  We had 283 campers attend from 19 different churches! Our theme this year was ‘Press Forward’ and throughout the week the teens were encouraged to do more for Christ than they have ever done before. Several young people surrendered to full-time Christian service and 8 teens asked Jesus to save them from their sins!  Camp is a lot of work; it’s tiring, but it is so worth it when you see young lives saved and other great decisions made for our Lord!
