The students have returned from summer break and classes are in full swing! We have 12 
students this year-our highest turnout to date-and three of those students are in their 4th year. Because it is their final year at LBC, these three amigos are now considered interns and have been given more responsibilities. We have been blessed to watch them learn and grow over these past few years. Now, they will attempt to apply that knowledge in practical ministry work. We are so excited about the future and pray for God’s continued blessings!

Abbie’s Four!
Our little girl turned 4 this month! We thank the Lord for this little fireball…she is such a blessing to our hearts. This year, Abigail, asked for a simple birthday gift…pancakes! :) But it didn’t take long for things to change; later in the car and she looked at me and said, “Can I drive?” WOW, that escalated quickly! lol. Let’s wait on that for another 12-13 years! :) These past 4 years have been so much fun. We love our little birthday girl!
After the Fire…
It has been two weeks since the Lewis family lost almost all their earthly possessions to a fire. Because of the extensive damage, even their house was lost…the structure that remains is completely unlivable. When the Lewis’ return to Cebu they will have to make a new start. Unfortunately, there was no insurance on the building or their things so the road ahead will be difficult. We don’t have outlets to buy items second hand so replacing them will be very costly. We also ask you to pray as we face opposition from the landlord. The owner of the house is blaming us for the fire and seeking compensation for the damage. The official fire report identified the fire’s cause as electrical and accidental in nature but this has not satisfied the owners. Please pray that God would give us wisdom to handle the situation and that it would be resolved. It was just a few years ago that the typhoon, Haiyan, came through and ravaged the Philippines. Now, we are facing our own personal storm. The destruction has been great but we know God is in control! In the Valley
We ask all of our friends and supporters to keep the Lewis family- our missionary partners-in your prayers! Yesterday afternoon a fire completely consumed their home. It was an electrical fire that started in the ceiling and spread to the rest of the house. We praise the Lord, it happened in the day and no one was injured. However, everything in the house was destroyed. Appliances, furniture, clothes, books, church storage and paperwork. Everything. Gone. We pray that you would keep Pastor Travis and Miss Angela in your prayers. We don’t understand the Lord’s plan but we are trusting Him through this trial!
