This month, North Cebu Baptist Church will celebrate its 13th Anniversary! We are so thankful for the lives God has touched through this ministry. And God’s work is not over! A man who received the Lord as His Savior earlier this year came back this month. His desire to hear the Bible and be in church brought so much joy to our hearts! It’s moments like these that encourage you in the hard times of life. Thank you, Lord, for your blessings!
We have some exciting news to share with you all! We are expecting Baby Baran #3! We are so excited and thankful for this blessing! Our kids have shared in our excitement even though they are a little torn. :) Abbie is praying for a sister and Micah is sure he’s going to have a little brother. Please keep Elizabeth and the baby in your prayers! So far everything looks great and the baby is due January 11, 2018.
We started another semester of Bible College! This year, we have 7 students and 2 of them have started their internship. One the interns will finish the school year at their home church on Malapascua Island. She is now playing the piano and helping her church teach children’s classes. What a blessing to see our students grow and be a blessing to their pastors! Please pray for us as we attempt to ground these students in the Bible and practical ministry. We pray the Lord will continue to use our school to equip young people to serve the Lord, wherever He calls them!

One year ago, our church sent out its first missionary family, the Langbids. Pastor Walter was one of the very first graduates from Bible School and soon after followed the Lord’s call into missions. In this year, they have been busy settling into their new island home, starting Bible studies, and teaching children’s classes. Right now, they are praying for a permanent church building to hold services in. What a blessing to see the work progress and the Lord provide for their needs. Please pray for this precious family and the ministry on Bantayan Island.
