This past July we had a Route competition to see how many people we could bring to church from our jeepney routes. It was a wonderful success and we reached a total of 290 visitors in the month of July! The Lord blessed us with children, teens, and adults giving us the opportunity to share the gospel with each of these newcomers. Now, as we enter August, we have seen several people return to hear more about Christ. Please pray that we could have Bible studies with these new comers and lead them to the Savior!

                                                                                        Back Yard Bible School is in full swing and we are having so much fun teaching the Bible to children! Now that our son, Micah, is a big guy he gets to go too! It is a blessing to serve the Lord with my wife and kids. Abbie loves to sing the songs and Micah is a pretty good music director. :) As you can imagine, our two little American kiddos draw a lot of attention!  We are thankful for this opportunity to share the gospel with these children and their families!

We have started a couple new routes and have been excited to see the turnout of children and adults.  In the beginning, when we first started looking for new places to teach we found one new area that didn’t look very promising.  We were thinking about moving on but a lady, Miss Meryl,  insisted that her neighborhood had several children who would come and listen to our Bible stories. That first Saturday she helped us tell the kids about our class and 12 children show up.  Encouraged to continue our class, we returned every Saturday and invited the people to our church services on Sunday.  Miss Meryl came faithfully for several Sundays and this past week she finally made that life changing decision to trust Christ as her Savior!  We are very thankful for Miss Meryl and that we made the decision to keep teaching in her neighborhood!

It has been well over a year since we first started our route in Nasipit.  It was a great year, one where we were blessed to see many children come to church and receive Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.  We even had some faithful mothers come, get saved, and even baptized!  Now one year later we still have a faithful few who are coming each Sunday.  Our numbers have started to dwindle however-for several reasons-and the time has come for us to find a new area for outreach.  For the past couple weeks we have been having children’s classes in Talamban and have been meeting new families that are eager to hear the Bible!  One of our children’s classes averages around 50 children and parents who come and listen to us as we teach God’s Word.  These are huge opportunities for us to share the gospel and help these families find a new life in Christ!  Please pray that hearts would be open and that we would see many people accept the Lord as their Savior!
