How quickly the world has changed! The Philippines is currently under quarentine. In Cebu, this means only one person per household is allowed to leave the house for essentials i.e grocieries, medincine, etc. Work has stopped except for the few jobs that are deemed essential. In the Philippines, no paycheck can be just as scary as the coronavirus. Many Filipinos live day by day and losing their income becomes an immediate crisis. Our church has come together to help several families who need help through these dark days. No one knows how long this ordeal will last but I pray that Christians will be mindful of their neighbors, coworkers, friends, and family. Remember our Lord’s words, “Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” May God use this time to strengthen the brethren and to reach out to a world that’s looking for hope!
