We were able to visit Massillon Baptist College during a preacher’s conference early this month with my father-in-law.  Pastor Thayer had invited us down to set up our display and to give a short testimony.  Through this we were able to meet new contacts. We’ve been praying the Lord would give us meetings in New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Ohio and that we could get our support mainly from these states.  Although, if other doors open we will branch out.  Thus far the Lord has continued to give us meetings in  these areas.  If we can get the majority of our support from these states, not only will it be a blessing to us now with gas costs and just traveling in general but it will also be a benefit when we return for furlough from the Philippines.

This missions conference was a unexpected blessing. I had been praying for a meeting this week and the Lord again provided for our needs.  They invited us to their church the night before the conference started and thankfully despite the short notice we were able to present our burden to the Philippines. It is exciting to see the Lord direct our way and answer prayer!

Throughout deputation we have met many wonderful missionary families. In the short time we have been on the road we have seen the burden of many others and made lasting friends.  Among these friends are the Fairs, veteran missionaries to Papau New Guinea. We came across their path again this past Sunday.  I first met him in Rossville, Georgia at Word for the World Baptist ministries.  We had a great time of fellowship this week.  Lord willing, we will see them again in Georgia at Candidate School where my wife will be officially accepted by our clearing house.
