The Lord gave me the wonderful privilege to grow up in a Christian home. Hearing the gospel throughout my childhood, I made a profession of faith when I was 7 years old, but struggled with peace of that decision throughout my teenage years. While continuing to attend Faith Bible Baptist Church, it was at a missions conference in 2017 that I decided to quit living my own selfish life, and got saved on October 8th.
It was like the floodgates opened, and God immediately started to open doors for me that revolved around the ministry and having a direct impact on the souls around me. Having a great burden for missions, I started to get more involved with mission outreach. After taking several mission trips, I visited my brother, a missionary to Papua New Guinea, Justin Dye in 2019. God used that trip greatly and directed me to pursue a degree in Nursing to use medical knowledge as an outreach tool wherever He saw fit.
While working as a nurse stateside, God led Justin to open up a medical clinic in Papua New Guinea in 2021. I was later asked by Justin if coming to PNG to help run the clinic would be something I was interested in, and I immediately started to pray and ask for God’s direction in this decision. After counseling with my Pastor Chris Baran, and my former pastor, Arthur Kohl, the Lord opened the door for me to take a 5-month survey trip in June of 2024, work with the team established there, and get a feel for the work.
It was during my time there, that God confirmed that this was the place He would have me to serve. I was able to have clinic days each week, and the results of this ministry were tremendous. It has been a humbling experience to be a part of the work in PNG, and I look forward to seeing what the Lord has in store in the time to come!
