In Our Days Of Uncertainty, Here Is One Thing You Can Know For Sure:
You can know for sure that you will go to heaven someday!
This is the reason God wrote the Bible: I John 5:13 says, “These things have I written unto you ... that ye may KNOW that ye have Eternal Life.”
Here’s how you can know:
First, we must realize that we’ve all sinned. Romans 3:23 says “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Second, the penalty for our sins is death and eternal separation from God. The Bible says in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death.” Ezekiel 18:20 says, “The soul that sinneth, it shall die.” (See Revelation 20:14; 21:8 as well)
Third, Jesus paid our death penalty for us. God sent Jesus to suffer and die in our place on the Cross. Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." He was buried and rose from the grave and is alive forevermore!
Fourth, God loves you and wants to save you from your sins. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.
However, each person must accept Christ personally to be saved from their own sins. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me,” John 14:6. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved,” Acts 4:12.
There is no other way. Salvation is not through being good, doing works, keeping a moral code, being religious or any other efforts of our own. Salvation is only through the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work on Calvary’s Cross. Only His shed blood can wash away our sins. (See Romans 5:9; Ephesians 1:7)
How can you accept Christ as your Saviour?
Romans 10:13 tells us, “For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.”
John 1:12 says, “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name.”
Pray, believing from your heart, “Lord I admit that I am a sinner and deserve Your punishment in hell. Forgive me for my sins - I repent. I now trust Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour and call upon Him to save me from my sins. I believe that He died for me on the Cross and only His blood can wash away my sins. I ask for Your gift of Eternal Life, in Jesus Name, Amen!”
"... the gift of God is Eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23b
