Pastor Dave Maulucci and Grace Baptist Church of Beaver Dams also had us come to their missions conference this month.  The people were very kind and provided for our needs.  We stayed at the pastor’s home and enjoyed getting to know them more. They took us to Watkins Glen,  a beautiful State Park, filled with magnificent gorges and waterfalls.  At one point we actually stood behind the cascading falls.  It was a memorable day for us.  We also had a chance to visit my family who lives in the area.  It was a visit we hadn’t planned but very much enjoyed.

Our next missions conference took us north into Michigan.  Pastor Chris Staub had asked us to present our work and join them for their missions conference.  It was amazing to see God work there among His people!  In one night this dear church raised the funds to purchase a van for a national pastor. It was a blessing to witness such a miracle.  Truly nothing is impossible with our great Savior!

This has been the second year that I have been a part of Lighthouse Baptist Church’s missions conference. Perhaps it’s because they really like me???  Or perhaps it’s because they had not yet met Mrs. Baran. Whatever the reason, we enjoyed being with our friends again.  Brother Richard Rawls was the main speaker and did a wonderful job.    He has been a real blessing to me since I started deputation.

This past Sunday marked 27 years since our church was started by Pastor Kohl. I am so thankful for our home church and their faithfulness.  This is the church God used to grow me and prepare me for the ministry.  It was a great day of fellowship and several visitors attended.  There were some who even received Christ. What a great testimony on such a significant day.  We cannot become lazy is these days that grow darker and darker.  There is still a vast amount of work to do.  Praise the Lord for our church and for all the work God has done through it but we cannot become satisfied with what we have accomplished.  Our work on earth is not complete until we see Christ and in that moment I’m sure we’ll wish we had done so much more.
